The Sifting of Satan

Summary
Satan can not make you do things. He can not cause you to do things you don't want to do. He can tempt you and put before you many things that may tempt you to sin and stray from God's way but he can't make you do it. He can't even test you or sift you with out God's permission. You see we are God's property once we are saved and by that it means that satan can not touch us unless God gives him permission to do so. In Luke, Satan asked God for permission to sift Peter. God told Peter that Satan had asked but God knew Peter's heart and his desires and he told Satan it would be fine a Peter would stand firm.
