Famine in the Land

Summary
In the Book of Amos, God's prophet warns the people that there was going to be a famine in the land, not a famine of food or water but a famine of God's Word. The people had become so self-centered and self-interested that they had lost their desire to spend time with God. They had side stepped far away from God and the results of their actions were that there would be no word from God for a long period of time. There would be a famine from God.
