Summary

The Israelites were under bondage, they were slaves to the Egyptians. They continued to cry out to be rescued to be set free. God finally heard their plea and sent Moses to lead them to the promised land. Unfortunately, they were not happy with Moses and were not happy with the 11 day journey to the promised land. That is right it would take them 11 days to walk the distance from Egypt to the River Jordan and into the promised land. That means the Jews only had to walk 529 miles from Egypt to the Promised Land. This means they neeed to walk about 50 miles a day. Because of their whining and complaining and turning their back of God they ended up traveling about 2700 miles. Many more than they needed, turning an 11 day trek into a 40 year trek or approximately 14.600 day trip So the question is, how would it have been if they had just done what God told them to and did it with gratitude in their hearts and minds for being free of their bondage and on their way to a new life. Are we doing the same thing, does God have a journey for us that we are prolonging by out unwillingess to do as He says and to whine and complain all the time?
