Summary
So you tell God to send you, you feel like that God has laid on your heart to be available to Him and go where He sends you. Then God does call you and suddenly you are all about, well I don't want to do that, or I don't want to go there, or I can't because of my finances or family or whatever the excuse is. The scripture for today's sermon gives examples of those that were called to go and while some went willingly others pleaded with God not to require them to do that or go to that place. When God calls us and we respond with a yes, we need to be prepared to go, period.
Detail
Ananias was initially hesitant to meet Saul, knowing his reputation. However, he obeyed God's command, demonstrating the importance of obedience even when it seems daunting. His obedience played a crucial role in Saul's conversion. "Then Ananias went to the house and entered it. Placing his hands on Saul, he said, 'Brother Saul, the Lord—Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you were coming here—has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit'" (Acts 9:17). Obedience to God can lead to miraculous outcomes.
