Summary
David was the newly annointed King and his enemies were all about him. In fact the Philistines were so bold they camped at the foot of his stronghold waiting to kill him. David needed a breakthrough, he needed God to do a might work. So he asked, should I go down into the camp of the Philistines and destroy them. God responded, yes, and I will take care of the Philistines, it will be by my power that they are conquered. You just go and do as I say.
